A year after the first season of TNC Africa’s fan favourite Little Black Book, the AMVCA-nominated corporate and romance drama is back on August 4. From the new Little Black Book 2 trailer, it seems Leo (Ikechukwu Onunaku) is still trying to pull his company from bankruptcy and is pursuing a different route with this time.
The new season delivers plenty of classic Leo and Tade moments of love and tiff, even though their relationship seems saddled with a new more determined threat, a Nengi Adoki who wants a baby from Leo. Who exactly is she?
While the new trailer has us excited, the introduction of new characters piques our curiosity about the story even more as they are at the centre of it. New cast member Paul Utomi (‘Jaiye’) now manages Leo’s company. Bimbo Akintola is concerned with Leo’s health? Is he sick?
And then there’s Jude Chukwuka (‘Moshood Ibrahim’) who is poised to find answers about a fire that razed Leon Hotels. Even though Kanayo O. Kanayo plays Leo’s father in this new season, his importance to the story is not clear yet.
We guess these and more questions about this new season will become clearer as the show progresses, especially the mystery surrounding the “little black book of Mr Leo’s activities” which appears multiple times in the trailer.
Little Black Book 2 features your favourite cast members Anee Icha, Floyd Igbo, Jeffrey Kanu, and Bimitan Adegoke while welcoming a lineup of some of Nollywood’s finest actors, including Nengi Adoki, star of the critically-acclaimed Juju Stories, as well as her co-actor in the film, Paul Utomi, Michael Ejoor, Moet Abebe, Jude Chukwuka, and Helena Nelson from MTV Shuga.
The first season of Little Black Book told the story of Tade (Teniola Aladese), a brilliant business executive trying to get her life back on track after a series of failures, and Leo (Ikechukwu Onunaku), a millionaire hotel entrepreneur defying the odds to keep his business in the green, and a little black book of gorgeous women, unfolding truths and hidden desires between them.
Little Black Book 2 premieres on TNC Africa’s YouTube channel on August 4.
