'Colours of Fire': Osas Ighodaro and Uzor Arukwe’s Fiery Chemistry Sets Teaser Ablaze

Niyi Akinmolayan’s ‘Colours of Fire’ Set for December Release as FilmOne Entertainment Secures Exclusive Rights

FilmOne Entertainment has acquired the exclusive distribution rights to ‘Colours of Fire’, the new Christmas feature from director Niyi Akinmolayan. Co-produced by FilmOne Studios and Anthill Studios, the film will premiere nationwide on December 24th, just in time for the holidays.

Starring Osas Ighodaro, Uzor Arukwe, Femi Branch, Mercy Aigbe, and Gabriel Afolayan, ‘Colours of Fire’ tells a heartfelt story of love, loss, and resilience, set against the warmth and chaos of the festive season.

“This film reflects where Nollywood is headed: bold, emotional, and technically refined,” said Kene Okwuosa, Group CEO of Filmhouse Group. “At FilmOne, we’re committed to championing African stories that connect locally and stand confidently on the global stage.”

Ladun Awobokun, Chief Content Officer at FilmOne Entertainment, added, “Colours of Fire reminds us of the power of collaboration and the shared humanity at the heart of good storytelling.”

For Niyi Akinmolayan, the film represents a creative milestone. “I wanted to make a story that feels like home but looks like the world, something bold, colourful, and unapologetically Nigerian,” he said.

With FilmOne Entertainment leading distribution and FilmOne Studios on production, ‘Colours of Fire’ continues the company’s tradition of merging creativity and commerce to bring African stories to global audiences.

Audiences can catch ‘Colours of Fire’ in cinemas across Nigeria from December 24, 2025.
