Modesinuola Ogundiwin has been cast in ‘Clarissa’, the upcoming feature film from the Esiri brothers (Arie Esiri and Chuko Esiri). It was recently acquired by Neon for U.S. release, with Neon International handling worldwide sales.
A contemporary reimagining of Virginia Woolf’s Mrs. Dalloway, Clarissa unfolds over one night in Lagos as a society woman prepares to host a party, only to confront long-lost friends and unresolved memories. The film explores themes of love, desire, ambition, and identity through intimate encounters that culminate in a tender, bittersweet reckoning.
Modesinuola stars alongside other cast members, including Sophie Okonedo, David Oyelowo, Ayo Edebiri, India Amarteifio, and Toheeb Jimoh.
Ogundiwin is recognised for her breakout role as Kanyin in the hit Showmax series ‘Wura’. She also starred as Funmi in ‘A Night in 2005’, currently streaming on Prime Video, amongst other films.
