Todimu Adegoke Selected for Berlinale’s EFM Toolbox Programme 2026

Film producer Todimu Adegoke has been selected for the EFM Toolbox Programme 2026, an international development initiative of the European Film Market (EFM), held alongside the Berlin International Film Festival.

The selection, announced by EFM, places Adegoke among a global cohort of producers chosen for the programme, which supports under-represented voices through mentorship, workshops, matchmaking sessions and direct exposure to the international film marketplace.

The EFM Toolbox Programme is a core part of EFM’s Diversity and Inclusion initiatives, designed to equip producers with practical market knowledge while facilitating access to financiers, sales agents and co-production partners during the European Film Market.

Reacting to the news, Adegoke described the selection as both validation and strategic support for his next phase as a producer.

“This selection is a major aid and affirmation of the direction my career is taking,” he said. “I’ve just recently launched my company, Xclusive Filmworks, in the UK in view of our EMEA strategy. Being part of the EFM Toolbox places me directly within the global film marketplace, giving me access, mentorship and the industry language needed to move my projects from strong ideas into internationally viable productions.”

According to Adegoke, the programme represents a critical step in expanding his producing practice beyond national borders. “It’s a meaningful step in scaling my work as a producer beyond borders,” he added.

Adegoke was also a member of the first cohort of the Next Gen Conference, founded by film executive Joy Odiete, who recently launched SIRA to support emerging producers with structured access to international markets.

Reflecting on the role of the Next Gen Conference in his selection, Adegoke said the platform prioritises tangible industry engagement over motivation-driven programming.

“Next Gen is a space that goes beyond inspiration to offer real industry insight, access and intentional support. That platform is what birthed this,” he said. “Joy Odiete is invested in the growth of the next generation, and she activates it. She’s not one of those who makes empty noises; she sees talent, backs it, and opens real doors.”

He described the experience as “true mentorship” and expressed gratitude for the opportunity.

Nollywire has previously reported on SIRA’s growing involvement at major international industry platforms, including its activities around TIFF’s 50th edition, where the organisation positioned itself as a bridge between local filmmakers and global markets.

Adegoke joins producers from multiple regions selected for the 2026 EFM Toolbox Programme, as EFM continues to expand initiatives aimed at improving market readiness and international access for emerging producing talent.
