This is the second Igbo movie I am watching that is exactly how it is supposed to be. From the casting to the acting, Kanayo played the part of Odogwu like he was born for it; Alex did his part so well, from the language to the acting, he carried his character on his back, and my favorite, Stan was perfect. You make him the lead actor and he makes sure he leads like his career depends on it, and maybe it does. I liked the costume, it was good. The story telling was interesting, It satisfy curiosity on how and why the Igbos do so well in their businesses; they used lines that excited me like “my color” , the poplar line said by traders in the market. Overall, I’m glad I got to experience this beauty called a film.Show more
AFAMEFUNA was an absolute beauty! The work was truly remarkable, simply outstanding.
Seeing Stan Nze and Alex Ekubo in their respective roles was a highlight of the experience.
Kudos to the entire cast and crew for a job well done!
Afamefuna is a well written and directed story which is very true to the realities of the igbos and while it has a few plot holes and a few ADR audio issues, the acting was good enough to distract from all that.
The younger cast were superb and the chemistry between Stan and Alex’s characters was captivating.Show more
Perhaps the most amazing thing is the fact that most of the crew is including the director, Kayode aren’t actually Igbo.
