Porshe Studios Africa has unveiled the ensemble cast for its debut feature film ‘Ray of Hope’, a drama set in Port Harcourt, Aba, and Lagos.
The film stars Jide Kene Achufusi, Sunshine Rosman, Stan Nze, Bucci Franklin, Ayoola Akinyoola (popularly known as Kamo State), Beverly Osu, Uzor Arukwe, Chuks Joseph, Ngozi Ezeonu, and Zack Orji.
In a notable crossover, Afrobeats artist Jeriq makes his Nollywood acting debut in the project.

Directed by Kayode Kasum and produced by Esse Odometa, ‘Ray of Hope’ is the inaugural feature from Porshe Studios Africa, the newly launched production company founded by fashion entrepreneur Jason Samuel.
The film follows Chika, a young designer navigating life in Aba, Port Harcourt, and the high-stakes fashion scene in Lagos, as he pursues his ambitions against mounting personal and professional challenges.
Written by Oloruntola Ayodele and Chuka Onuigbo, the story is inspired by true events and explores themes of resilience, ambition, and identity, set against the backdrop of the fashion industry.

‘Ray of Hope’ represents a strategic expansion for Samuel, whose fashion brand Jason Porshe has built a reputation through its ties to film and entertainment. With the new studio, he is aiming to merge fashion, storytelling, and cinematic craft into globally positioned African narratives.
The film is positioned as a character-driven drama with strong visual identity, reflecting the studio’s focus on storytelling with commercial appeal.
