Jide Awobona earned his Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ogun State. He began his acting career in 2002, training with Jovies Perfection Press. His big break came in 2003 with a major role in the popular TV drama series "Super Story: Last Honor". Since then, he has starred in and produced several Nigerian films. In 2020, Jide was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Yoruba) by the BON Awards.
