The lead cast members of the upcoming Loukman Ali-directed title were present at the preview event including Basketmouth ‘Shadow/Gang Leader,’ Tobi Bakre ‘Akin,’ and Falz the Bahd Guy ‘Wale/Police Officer.’ Other cast members at the event were Toni Tones ‘Goldie,’ Seyi Awolowo ‘Gang Member,’ Omawumi ‘Police Officer,’ Mr Macaroni ‘Adura,’ Ronke Oshodi, and Korede Ajayi.

After the preview, GreoH Stuidios’ CEO, Jade Osiberu in her closing remarks, appreciated everyone, cast, crew, sponsors, and distributors. She urged the pressmen to push the conversation about her upcoming title and announced that she believes the project would set the Nigerian box office record of ₦1 billion GBO.

She also disclosed that her inspiration for the movie was a robbery incident that happened at a local bank in Lekki, Lagos State, where the robbers carried out the operation dressed as military officers.

You can watch the official “Brotherhood” trailer below. But first, here are some comments and reactions we took to get you excited about the upcoming title’s premiere:

After I lost the distribution deal for “Sugar Rush,” I was super excited to jump on this project. “Brotherhood” will be released on the same day across 14 African countries including Ghana and Uganda.

Ope Ajayi, Genesis Pictures (Distributor) Representative

I am happy to be in Nollywood, which I stumbled into but now fully involved in. In this role, I enjoyed being able to represent what the police force ought to be rather than what we currently have.

Falz the Bahd Guy

I refused the script at first because I didn’t think we were there yet or  it could be properly executed in Nigeria. Then I asked Jade to show me one of her works which was similar to this project. It was after she showed me “Gangs of Lagos” that I hopped on board.

Another reason I was not quick to accept the script was because most of the offers I receive are usually comic characters, and after two decades in the comedy industry this was refreshing for me to accept.

Basketmouth

I was excited when Jade informed me of the lead character in this project, and at the time my wife and I had just put to bed but I knew I still wanted to be on this project. I am grateful for the opportunity.

Working on set and getting into character was super easy because the production team had brought everything to life and all I needed was to just bring my skills as an actor.

Tobi Bakre

I have always wanted to do action movies or be in a Marvel superhero movie, so this was huge for me and I am  grateful to Jade for this beautiful opportunity to bring ‘Goldie’ to life. The entire production team made coming to work very easy, thank you!

Toni Tones

I am actually a thespian and online comedy was actually accidental but continued after receiving positive feedback from the viewers, so this project is a dear one. As Basketmouth said, playing  characters outside the usual comic space is also something to be happy about.

Mr Macaroni

I must commend the on-set experience and I appreciate the impact this project will make on my relative novice years in the industry.

Seyi Awolowo

I was humbled to be on set with an array of stars, and I’m  grateful for how the whole project played out smoothly.

Korede Ajayi

I commended the entire cast and crew of this project. In all of my 27 years of acting this was the biggest set I have been on; I had to keep calling myself to believe it was real. I promise the audience  will be blown away.

Ronke Oshodi
