Jade Osiberu’s GreoH Studios is coming back to the cinemas with a new title, “Brotherhood”, this July.
GreoH Studios is not a stranger at the box office, with two titles on the Nollywood Box Office Top 50 list. The studio’s 2019 coproduction, “Sugar Rush”, is No. 5 on the list with ₦287 million gross box office (GBO). “Ayinla” (2021), the musical biopic of Ayinla Omowura, is another entry they have on the list at No. 24 with ₦91 million GBO.
Jade Osiberu is set to delight movie goers again this July with her new star-studded cast for “Brotherhood”. She has also asked Loukman Ali to direct the heist story.
Loukman Ali is the director of Uganda’s first Netflix acclaimed mystery-thriller “The Girl in the Yellow Jumper”.
“Brotherhood” tells the story orphaned of twin brothers, Akin (Falz) and Wale (Tobi Bakre). After years of fighting to survive on the streets of Lagos, the brothers fall on opposite sides of the law, with Akin joining the Police Force and Wale joining a notorious gang of robbers.
The bonds of brotherhood are put to the ultimate test as Akin joins a Taskforce that hunts down Wale and his gang.
Top casts in the upcoming title include Bright Okpocha, Folarin Falana, Toni Tones, OC Ukeje, Tobi Bakre, Ronke Ojo, Seyi Awolowo, Mercy Aigbe, Omawumi Megbele, among others.
Interestingly, GreoH Studios is showing their commitment to movie goers. The studio wanted to give movie goers something to look forward to so they set a release date even before production for the new title began.
The principal photography for “Brotherhood” will be from April 9 till May 11, 2022. The title is distributed by Genesis Pictures and will be in cinemas from July 8, 2022.
