CeraVe Closes CeramoVE Campaign with CerAwards 2026 Gala in Lagos

CeraVe Nigeria has concluded its CeramoVE campaign with the CerAwards 2026 Gala, a Lagos event that spotlighted digital creators reinterpreting classic Nollywood scenes and capped weeks of nationwide participation.

Held on April 23, the gala brought together finalists, creators, media, and industry figures for an evening dedicated to storytelling and online creativity. The campaign, described by organisers as the brand’s largest creator-led initiative in the market, drew entries across social platforms, with participants remixing familiar film moments through a skincare and lifestyle lens.

A jury including Funke Akindele, Uzor Arukwe, Anais Routhiau, Ijeoma Balogun, Subuola Oyeleye, and Yvonne Enwerem assessed submissions based on originality, execution, and storytelling.

Hosted by Bisola Aiyeola, the event featured a blue-carpet reception, live performances, and award presentations across six categories: cleansing, originality, virality, education, body moisturising, and creative execution.

One of the night’s key moments was the announcement of three winners selected for the CeraVe Global Creator Trip in Paris, where they will represent Nigeria alongside creators from other markets. Additional finalists received cash prizes to support their content work.

The ceremony also introduced a new cohort of creators as the CeraVe Squad, positioning them as faces of the brand’s growing creative community in the country.

Speaking on the campaign, Nadia Amasa, Digital Specialist at L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty Sub-Saharan Africa, said the initiative demonstrated the value of cultural familiarity in creator-led storytelling.

“CeramoVE showed us what happens when creators are given something culturally familiar and the freedom to make it their own. The response was creative, entertaining, and deeply connected to the audience,” she said.

The night closed with a surprise performance from Wande Coal, ending the event on a celebratory note.

CerAwards, presented as the #CeramoVE edition in Nigeria, frames itself as a cultural platform linking Nollywood’s legacy to its current digital and streaming era, using reinterpretation as a bridge between film culture and contemporary content creation.
