Akinnayajo Babatunde, also known as Mr. Tunez Filmmaker, is a Nigerian film and television director and producer. He holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees, as well as professional certifications. Beginning his professional filmmaking career in 2013 after training under an American filmmaker, Akinnayajo has since worked across various roles in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
He has directed and produced numerous projects, including music videos for artists under labels such as Starboy Records and Dr Dolor Entertainment. His work extends to international collaborations with brands like Aurum Productions USA, Amplify Africa USA, and Laff Theory USA. In television, he has directed several shows for both streaming and terrestrial platforms, including Fashion Shock Show, Style Review, and The Chat Room.
His short films have been featured at festivals such as AFRIFF, In-Short Film Festival, and Abuja International Film Festival. His feature film "ÀRÌNFESÈSÍ" earned nominations at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival and securing in-flight distribution deals.
Beyond filmmaking, Akinnayajo is the founder of Photoscenelenses Africa, a non-profit initiative that has trained over 3,000 African creatives. He also leads his production company, Unique Motion Media Konsult.
