The film tells the story of a financially struggling but happy couple, Stella and her boyfriend, who become envious of their neighbor's seemingly better life after the neighbor travels to the UK. Driven by the desire for a similar "better life" abroad (a phenomenon known as "japa" in Nigerian slang), they decide to make preparations to leave the country. Their journey is complicated by their lack of funds and encounter with scammers.
