Young started her career as a journalist before transitioning into entertainment, where she became a popular figure on the Charly Boy Show, a reality series centered around Charly Boy. Her acting career took off in 1994 when she played a key role in the movie "Glamour Girls," which became a major success. In this film, she portrayed the character Doris alongside some of Nollywood's most prominent actors, including Dolly Unachukwu, Liz Benson, and Zack Orji. The 90s were a peak period for her, with a Vanguard publication noting that she was a dominant force in the Nigerian movie industry during that time.

In 2022, Young returned to the screen as a co-star in the Nigerian streaming series "Diiche," produced by James Omokwe. She shared the screen with actors like Uzoamaka Aniunoh and Chinyere Wilfred. The series premiered in October in Lagos, with the event hosted by Chigul.
