Ayo Lijadu was a Nigerian journalist who was an editor of the Daily Times. He was considered a literary stylist with a taciturn character but a powerful pen by one times co-worker, Obafemi Awolowo. Towards the end of World War 2, he was sent to Burma to cover the activities of Nigerian soldiers in the West African Expeditionary Force, becoming the first native Nigerian war correspondent and boosting the soldiers morale on the way.
