Nollywire Sets February Dates for 2026 in Focus: “Designing Tomorrow”

Nollywire has announced February 10–11, 2026, as the dates for the next edition of its annual editorial series, 2026 in Focus.

The two-day project will feature 14 one-on-one interviews with executives across film, media, technology, finance, and consumer-facing industries, alongside one moderated roundtable focused on merchandising, intellectual property, and how entertainment extends into everyday experiences.

The conversations will be moderated by Nollywire interview host and producer Banke Fashakin, whose work focuses on long-form, executive-level interviews across film and the creative economy.

The series will be recorded and released in real time across both days, with each conversation published immediately after filming in a live-style editorial format on Nollywire’s YouTube channel. While not livestreamed, the approach will mirror a live recording environment to prioritise immediacy and relevance over post-event packaging.

2026 in Focus was created to address a gap in how the business of entertainment is documented and discussed. Creative talents often sit at the centre of public attention, while the executives responsible for strategy, capital allocation, infrastructure, and long-term risk-taking are less frequently heard from in sustained, curated conversations.

Rather than panels or short appearances, 2026 in Focus is formatted as extended interviews that allow decision-makers to speak in full about how they think, not just what they are responding to.

The series goes beyond industry challenges to focus on growth: how executives assess scale, collaboration, competition, and long-term value creation within the entertainment ecosystem.

A key theme of the 2026 edition is the idea of shared progress: how domestic competition can coexist with international collaboration, and how film, in particular, can benefit from collective approaches to market expansion, risk-sharing, and brand-building beyond national borders.

Speaking on the vision behind the series, Nollywire founder and editor Mosa Alabi explained that 2026 in Focus is intended to function as a record and a bridge.

“It’s about setting the tone for the year,” he said. “These executives constantly think about growth, structure, and sustainability, but we rarely give them the space to articulate that thinking. I see this in the kind of conversations that dominate our media.”

“This series is about listening and pushing those perspectives as central to the industry’s future,” Alabi shared.

Details on participating guests and partners will be announced in phases ahead of the February dates.
