Burna Boy is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer who rose to prominence after the 2012 release of his debut single "Like to Party" and its accompanying debut album L.I.F.E (2013). He holds degrees in Media Technology (University of Sussex) and Media Communications and Culture (Oxford Brookes University), which he pursued in the UK before returning to Nigeria, where he interned at Rhythm 93.7 FM and subsequently launched his music career.

Musically, Burna Boy describes his sound as "Afro-fusion," blending Afrobeat, dancehall, reggae, hip-hop, and R&B. He has released several studio albums, including L.I.F.E (2013), Outside (2018), African Giant (2019), Twice as Tall (2020), Love, Damini (2022), I Told Them... (2023), and No Sign of Weakness (2025). His awards include a Grammy for Best Global Music Album (Twice as Tall, 2021) and multiple international honors.
