Palava is a light-hearted, enjoyable, comedy drama. Bisola Aiyeola’s performance was beautiful. RMD was in his elements as usual. Omawunmi surprisingly made me laugh all through. However, I feel some of the cast were inconsequential to the movie such as Neo Akpofure and Jemima. Over all, it’s a beautiful movie to see if you want to have a good time.Show more

I came to the film not knowing what to expect. And so I was pleasantly surprised. Overall, the film is very entertaining, a lot of the comedy actually lands, and the major characters are likeable and very fun to follow. The premise itself is unique and also rather fun to follow

My major criticism goes to the casting choic for the main character (RMD). He’s a great actor, but he never managed to convince me he was an aging musician (especially one so proficient that he had a diehard cult following). RMD never actually sings the titular song, and its obvious he’s not playing the instruments either. I kept asking myself if they couldn’t find an old musician who could act (or a young musician who could convincingly play an old man)Show more

Some plotlines also sort of floundered about, and the end left a lot to be desired. Fortunately, the film itself is so fun that I kind of shrugged it off.

It’s not an extraordinary film, but its a good watch, and it’s fun.

The storyline was good, actors and actresses did excellent, the makeup and outfit was beautiful. A good job for a comedy movie.
