Normally, I wouldn’t leave a comment because i’m too anxious about the fact that it will be read but I saw a 2/10 review and so my hand is forced.
I like the plot, it is fresh, at least, in the nigerian climate. The actors did an amazing job and the direction was good.Show more
I will say this though, there is something about the choice of cameras or sounding of a film that could steal the soul of the message rendering it bland or it could breathe life into it and make it a living thing.
I really enjoyed how the story was written, especially the way it kept unfolding in loops. That narrative style kept me hooked, and I was eager to understand why the main character kept dying no matter what she did. I was also curious to see how she might eventually survive with the help of her husband.Show more
However, I was left with several unanswered questions. I never got a clear explanation for why the loop was happening in the first place. Why was it connected to the military? Why not something spiritual or scientific? I also didn’t understand the caller’s motive—why was he so willing to help? What sensitive information did Kola have that required him to be in a safe house, and how did that endanger his wife?
Additionally, if Kola is in the military, why was the person trying to kill his wife dressed in a police uniform?
In the end, I found myself with more questions than answers after watching the film.
