Being a fan of the works of Charlie Brooker, Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton, it is great to see well crafted anthology stories closer to “home” done with such finesse and excellence.

Each story carried itself, the writing was superb and the sound design was great and the cinematography was top notch. Everything had an intentionality behind it; from the framing to the shakes to the gritty colour grade, the unsettlingly sound design in some parts to the more afrocentric ones in other parts. Visual motifs were also used excellently. The actors held their own really well, the locations were really on point and the production design was really good.Show more

This is one great work of art and I look forward to what comes next from the makers.

The feeling I got watching this was different from what is typically the case with ‘juju’ films.

I enjoyed Yam, Love Potion, and Suffer the Witch, which took me back to secondary school; there was this girl everyone believed was a witch.
