Ruby Akubueze is a Nigerian born actor, filmmaker, singer, model and entrepreneur popularly known for her character as Frances on MTV Shuga Naija, seasons 3 and 4. She was a nominee for The Future Awards Africa Prize for Acting in 2020 and has won several international awards with the short film; Rehearsal. She recently starred in Accroché, a feature film on the dangers of drug/substance abuse and the new Kunle Afolayan title; Ijogbon. She is passionate about community building and volunteers for The Solace Network; a Non-profit anti-bullying organization and Advocating The Girl Child Organisation both led by young female activists.
