Alexander Bud, known among his British community as the Dr. of Nollywood, has a PhD from the University of Edinburgh, with his doctoral research on the film industry production in Nigeria and Ghana.

A keen researcher on African history, his recent interest has been in the capabilities of technical workers in film and Nollywood's distribution potential. He has been a part of local productions across Nigeria as a consultant producer, however, Osamede is his first major film role.
