Growing up in a polygamous family, Tijani moved with his mother to Lagos State at the age of three, settling in the Agege area. He attended Oyewole Primary School in Lagos and later Ansar-Ud-Deen Grammar School in Oyo.
In 1992, after completing secondary school, Tijani joined Prince Seyi Adeoye’s theatre group, where he met Olaniyi Afonja, aka "Sanyeri." They began their careers as stage performers, touring various towns and cities.
In 1996, Tijani and Afonja moved back to Lagos to pursue acting careers in home video movies. In 2009, Tijani produced the successful Yoruba comedy movie "Kamilu Kompo," featuring stars like "Sanyeri," Adebayo Salami, Peju Ogunmola, Shola Kosoko, and Saidi Balogun. The movie's title became one of his famous aliases, marking a significant achievement in his career.
