Martha Ehinome, known for her breakout role as Tumi in the Showmax series ‘Wura’, has completed production on her first film as a producer and financier, ‘Man of Her Dreams’. The project marks the debut outing of her newly registered production company, ME & Co., with Ehinome funding and serving as executive producer on the film.
Now in post-production, ‘Man of Her Dreams’ is directed by Moses Ipadeola and follows Naya, a woman in her late 20s whose longing for love leads her to Kene, a man who appears perfect until unsettling truths blur the lines between affection, sanity, and reality. The story examines yearning, choice, and emotional truth and is written by Ehinome and Gbolahan Akitunde.

Ipadeola, whose film ‘Ekun Iyawo: A Tale of a Runaway Bride’ screened at several festivals, brings a grounded sensibility to the thriller-romance. Emmanuel Izuoba (Christmas in Lagos) joins Ehinome as producer. The project features cinematography by Fadamana Okwong (‘The Artifact’, ‘In Ibadan’, ‘Fire and The Moth’) and art direction by Joy Kadiri (‘Gangs of Lagos’, ‘Christmas in Lagos’), both helping shape the film’s visual tone.
The cast brings together Martha Ehinome, Vine Olugu, Ireti Doyle, Rhoda Albert, Gbubemi Ejeye, and Tosin Adeyemi to explore the film’s psychological and emotional layers. “This project marks a defining moment for me,” Ehinome says. “I’ve told stories in many forms, but bringing this one to the screen is something I’ve dreamed about for years. It’s bold, emotional, layered, and rooted in our culture, spirituality, and the truths we often avoid.”

Looking ahead, Ehinome views the project as a creative statement: “For my career, this project sets the tone for the kind of stories I want to keep telling—stories that feel simple on the surface but hold a lot of meaning underneath, reflecting who we are, how we feel, and the worlds we carry inside us. It’s exciting to create something that doesn’t just entertain but expands how we experience Nigerian stories. This project is the beginning of that journey for me, and I’m grateful for it.”
‘Man of Her Dreams’, shot in Lagos, will offer audiences a reflective look at desire confronted by uncomfortable reality as it moves toward release.
