Cock Crow at Dawn follows the life of Bello and his wife, Mama Bitrus, as they raise their children, Bitrus and Lare, in a rural Nigerian community. The series juxtaposes family challenges such as poverty, generational differences, and societal expectations with larger themes of agricultural development, tradition versus modernity, and community self-sufficiency. While dealing with everyday domestic and moral dilemmas, the characters learn and adopt improved farming methods, face the tension between tradition and change, and struggle with maintaining integrity, responsibility, and social bonds.
