Arukwe started acting in Nollywood movies in 2014 with a film called Unspoken Truth. He became well-known after acting in a movie called Sergeant Tutu. In 2019, he acted as a private investigator in a movie called Code Wilo, and this also made people recognize his talent. In 2020, he was nominated twice for a special award for his acting in funny movies or comedies. This award was called the 'Best Actor in Comedy or Movie' award at the African Magic Viewers' Choice Award. The two movies that got him these nominations were Smash and Size 12.
