Chief Pete Edochie  is a legendary Nigerian actor, producer, and broadcaster, celebrated as one of Africa's most talented actors, famous for his iconic role as Okonkwo in the 1980s NTA adaptation of  Things Fall Apart, earning him international acclaim.  Born March 7, 1947, in Enugu, he transitioned from a successful career in radio broadcasting (even training with the BBC) to Nollywood stardom, often playing wise, authoritative figures, and has received national honors like Member of the Order of the Niger (MON). He is married to Josephine, they have six children, including actor Yul Edochie, and he remains a respected figure, known for his distinctive style and wisdom-filled performances.
