Ric Hassani is a Nigerian singer-songwriter known for his smooth blend of Afrobeat and R&B. A Covenant University and University of Surrey alumnus with a master’s in Energy Economics, he launched his debut album, The African Gentleman, in 2016—sparking major attention with the hit single “Gentleman,” earning multiple awards and nominations Since then, Ric Hassani has released several acclaimed projects including The Prince I Became (2021) and Lagos Lover Boy (2025), toured internationally, and collaborated with artists such as Nicky Jam, Sauti Sol, and Ne-Yo

In addition to his music career, he ventured into acting, appearing in Kayode Kasum’s film "The Serpent’s Gift" (2025) alongside Daniel Etim‑Effiong, Stan Nze, and others. Ric also serves as a judge on Nigerian Idol, and continues to fuse his passion for love-themed storytelling with his signature gentlemanly style.
