Nnamdi Kanaga is a Nigerian filmmaker, writer, and actor based between Lagos and the United States. He transitioned from Nollywood acting to directing after relocating to the U.S. in 2018.

Kanaga's work focuses on authentic African narratives, bridging cultural heritage and modern cinema. He has expressed a long‑term goal of becoming the first Nigerian‑born filmmaker to win an Oscar.
