Daniel took charge of the drama and debating club at Command Children School during his primary years. Always excelling academically, he moved on to secondary school in 1996, initially attending Command Day Secondary School Enugu before transferring to Federal Government College Enugu in 1999 to complete his senior secondary education.
His childhood aspiration was to become a pilot, inspired by the legacy of three esteemed fighter pilots in his family: his foster grandfather, the former Chief of Air Staff, (Late) Air Marshal Ibrahim Alfa, along with his three uncles – Squadron Leader John Chukwu, Air Vice-Marshal Chris Chukwu, and Shu'aibu Alfa, a civil pilot. However, his dream was shattered when he was diagnosed with myopia, realizing that poor eyesight would hinder his ambitions.
Facing the challenge head-on, Daniel adapted and pursued a different path. He enrolled at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka in 2004 to study Applied Biochemistry, driven by his passion for science. Tragedy struck in November 2004 when he lost his father in a fatal car accident. As the eldest child, Daniel assumed greater responsibilities, navigating through the sudden loss and upheaval in his family.
In 2005, his family relocated to Abuja following his father's passing, while Daniel continued his studies at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, where he also ventured into the world of modeling. Graduating in 2009, he briefly managed his uncle's business, Twinkles Catering Service, the first eatery of its kind in Gusau, Zamfara State, for four months, gaining valuable hands-on experience before moving forward on his journey.
