“Hmmmm I think I liked just the first 2 episodes. There was a balance between the telling and showing in the first two episodes. By the 3rd episodes, a lot of introductions weren’t made properly and background wasn’t set. Efe was a tech guy using AI to scam people but he couldn’t track or do anything to counter or trace the number that sent him the picture Also not background as to how they actually ran the AI scam just 4years later. After Efe became rich we never saw him near a laptop or anything. No proper introduction of Teacher or actual relationship to Oboz In all great cinematography, angles. The set designer was gooddddd For 8 episodes it could have been so so much better”

This is the story of "To Kill A Monkey", Kemi Adetiba's 4th soiree in Nollywood I'm not going to waste time and space by analyzing every episode so you can see it yourself if you haven't. TKAM as widely called on social media came with high expectations setting high notes ahead of her December KOB 3 release and from an analytical perspective, the limited series lived up to expectations but I have a few questions: 1. What was Efemini's expectations when he told Nosa, he was "going to get in and get out quickly. We are not greedy" 2. Even if your father has failed you before because of his lifestyle, does that give you the right to sleep with his friend? What kind of daughter are you? 3. I honestly think Nosa pushed Efe too much to the wall and he had to find solace in the arms of a woman he never knew was going to bring him down 4. To kill A Monkey has proved that the Nigerian system is nothing but a failure and even if you compromise standards by looking the other way, you'll pay the price at the end of the day 5. There is a way that seems right to a man but the end thereof is destruction as seen in the characters of Obuz, Efe and Teacher. I'll like to specially appreciate the efforts of Oscar Heman Ackah for the brillant sound score. It helped carried the emotions of the movie setting the right tone at every scene. Not forgetting the brilliance of Bucci Franklin in his commanding display of Obuz. To Kill A Monkey is a fantastic 8/10. Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“I love the cinematography and above all the dynamic cast. I was hooked from the first episode and enjoyed watching the main character's progression, only three episodes in. Can't wait to finish!”
