“I had high hopes for 'Red Circle', the cast is stellar and there are no filmmaker newbis in the crew. However, it did not land quite nicely, the pacing was rushed, nothing was happening and everything was happening . It felt like they wnated to make delicious soup, had the ingredients but they did not cook it well after creating all thata nticipaiton with the marketing , it left a very flat taste in my mouth. No character motive was strongly explored nothign was deeply explored. If not for Oshisco's acting the entire story would have been extremely uneventufl. Even fikayo and venita's friendship did not seem genuine to me . How does seeing someone beat someone leading to your death just like that? If this was developed as a series, then the editor who cut it down could have objectively done a much better job. It was confusin gas well the family dynmaics between fikayo , he rparents an dborther, the neding was supposed to be climatic but it was very antilcimatic. What was the point of the sex scenes as well? How did fikayo and tobi bakre become so in love and when did he starts callign her fiks? omo.... it was just a confusing and disappointing watch for me . HOWEVER, i love the pride that everyone carried this film with, i love the daring Nora and her team, and i hope they are encouraged to do more and do better next time.”
