“It was really enjoyable to watch but like most Nigerian and African made animated stories, it is almost stereotypical at this point; the stories are driven by action and aesthetics, not the story. It was very interesting to watch and it was captivating from start to finish but it was not story driven and quite a number of questions came up. What caused the fight? Who is stronger? What are their powers? Who should we root for and why? Why do the Orishas (gods) want the orb? New characters will be introduced every episode meaning the new character shower at the will probably come to fight the Victor of the initial battle. The Ajanaku seems to a follower of Ogun, metal weapons and all. The lady at first seemed to be for Oya or Osun because she could manipulate water element, then she manipulated fire also. But then she was called an Àjé... A witch which made sense. But we can see she was not on Ajanaku's level clearly, he only had a weapon, brute force and strong melee but we are to believe they are on par to enjoy the fight. More questions. Why are they fighting? Did he come all the way just to fight her? Why? Was he passing through and she was an obstruction so they fought? Why? What are their powers and their weaknesses? As someone who grew up seeing different anime and reading several comic books, this is really good and inspired. This series is really good and has the potential to build a very strong fandom. I hope all these and more will be answered in later episodes. I look forward to seeing more of these.”
